　　Abstract:
　　The recent successful evacuations of Chinese nationals from Libya are highly acclaimed throughout the world. This action fully demonstrates the determination of the Chinese government to safeguard the interest of overseas citizens, signifying the maturity of China’s public diplomacy and consular protection system. The evacuation manifests the purpose and ideas of “governing for the people” and “diplomacy for the people”. It is a realistic footnote to the human-oriented diplomacy idea, paving the way for the diplomacy with Chinese characteristics when the country is gradually integrating itself into the world.
